DAY 5

did I mention that our hotel in Taipei has a good view of Taipei 101?
it does xD

went to a place where soldiers perform [ well, not sure if that's the correct term ]
@ ZhongLieCi [ 忠烈祠 ]
they march and exchanged posts~
they din move after the ceremony
and~ so… here comes the flashlight of my mom’s camera

a trip to the National Museum [ ? ] well, they call it 故宫 in Chinese
and there are lots of priceless treasures inside~ guess its a suitable name xD
too bad tourists are not allowed to take pictures inside the place

we were advised by our tourguide to wear headsets, to ensure that we are with him throughout the tour around the place
so… here we go =)

went to a place where they told us about FengShui [ and more importantly, sell their FengShui stuff ]
then~ the most important thing during lunchtime : lunch!!
we were brought to this cool restaurant called 五角船板 [ not sure how its written in Chinese but i noe how it sounds: WuJiaoChuanBan ]
its more of an artistic restaurant` designed by a handicapped lady
but it’s still so wonderful ^^

next stop: XiMenDing! [ 西门町 ]
it is said that you cant say that you’ve been to Taipei [ or was it Taiwan ] if you havnt been to XiMenDing
there are lots of stuff there, from hawker stalls to Nike shops [ trust me, the Nike shoes there are cheaper than M'sia ]

and~ if you want my advice [ which was the tourguide's ]
try this stall’s bittergourd juice

erm~~~ they’re havin some rice noodles [ MeeSuah, to be exact ]
haha~ not very sure what is the exact term LAWL
and… a long queue follows
oh yeah, did I mention that I saw Jack @ KFC? [ the one from class. rite, Jack, not the KFC ]
well, i dint notice him at first but i did see a boy with a shocked expression
so took a closer look and…. TA-DA! it WAS him

then it was the famous ShiLin night market [ 士林夜市 ]
OMG~~~ guess how big the chicken fillet was

and how long the queue was

unbelievable? you’ve just gota believe it
[ and im kinda starving now :'( ]

giant sausages too @@
we spent our freetime there buying….
wait a minute… another minute…. okok, im gonna tell you
face masks
there, i said it.
it was crazy ROFL bought more than 80 pieces in total
and~ so it was the end of day 5;
←←←←←← +++ →→→→→→
DAY 6

yeah~ the international flora expo @ Taipei ^^
quite a long queue although it was only 9am

queued for almost an hour to get into the expo dome [ 争艳官 ]

but it was worth it ^^ the flower arrangements are magnificent
i never knew that you could do so many things with flowers [ and other plants ]

well, these are some of the beautiful and attractive arrangements

we decided to take a family pic outside the expo dome~
our clothes are as colorful as the flowers ![]()
it’ll be a waste not to take a pic though xD

my mom and aunts took a pic after lunch
[ which was scary, cause we almost couldnt find a place to settle down and almost had to sit on the floor while eating, or standing, whichever is considered more comfortable. lunch, i meant ]

our original plan was to watch the 2pm show at the other side of the expo
and this is what we found ==”
it looked as if the queue never ended. so its up to Plan B, which was sit there for the whole day
OKOK, i was kiddin

bought some souvenirs and scramped
owh, and btw, the place is near the international airport
so, we get quite a handful of aeroplanes [ airplanes, wadeva ]
this is just a PERFECT shot
i sooooo din edit any part of these pix

this is a crazy amount of people~
well, actually, it WAS a saturday… so… i guess most people are free to visit the expo xD

so~~~ we took a Metro to DanShui [ 淡水 ]
found these chic glasses in a shop~ but what’s the use for me ![]()
its more of a nightmarket actually, i mean the place where we went
[ yep, nightmarket strikes again ]

had dinner at a random restaurant nearby~ ![]()
well, im full enough [ did I mention that the rice was fragrant? more like Vietnamese rice ]
went back to the hotel via a cab [ taxi, whateva ]
we almost missed the hotel if I had slept [ hey~ so not exaggerating here
]
and… im on my bed a few mins later
[ to be continued ㋡ ]
